Alex earned his undergraduate degree with honors from Ohio State University. While there, Alex was involved in the undergraduate division of the Ohio Innocence Project, which served as his introduction to individuals who had their lives upended by wrongful conviction. Additionally, Alex also had the opportunity to study abroad at Oxford University in the United Kingdom, where he deepened his understanding of the historical foundations of the law. He then went on to attend Case Western Reserve School of Law, where he developed his legal skills and developed a passion for protecting the rights of individuals against the power of the government. There, Alex worked in the Death Penalty Lab filing motions to stay the executions of individuals whose mental health issues played a major role in the crimes they were convicted of. Alex also worked in the Second Chance Re-Entry Clinic where he helped clients seal their records and connected them with services to help them stay out of the criminal justice system, and was also a member of the Street Law club, where he taught legal concepts to juveniles in the Cleveland Area.
Before joining the team at FG+G, Alex honed his skills as a law clerk for the United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Ohio, where he gained further insight into the complexities of the legal system and the ways in which the government can impact citizens. In January of 2022, he joined FG+G as a law clerk, where he worked on a variety of legal issues in both criminal defense and civil rights.
Alex's approach to criminal defense is rooted in extensive research and a commitment to helping his clients understand the options available to them in simple, straightforward terms. With a deep understanding of the law and a passion for fighting for the rights of those in need, Alex is dedicated to delivering outstanding results for his clients.
